Materials for Success
Successful students show up to class prepared to learn and with the needed materials in hand. They show up to class the first day, find out what materials are required, then buy the items that night. Please have the following purchased by the start of the second week of school:
For School
- 3-ring binders. Buy 2 or 3 because they will wear out through out the year
- 2 sets of dividers
- Pencils – a student will probably use one pencil every 2 weeks
- Large erasers
- White out – The rolling type, not the bottle
- Reinforcement labels – Small circle stickers to reinforce strength of 3-hole paper
- Highlighters – 2 packs of highlighters in different colors
- Pens – students will be doing a lot of writing by hand, so buy the best pens you can.
- 1-zipper keepers for pencils (pencil pouch)
- Small self-stick notes (about one pad will be used every 2 weeks)Large self-stick notes
- Loose-leaf paper (each academic class uses between 150-300 sheets of paper per semester)
- Colored pencils
- Backpack. A backpack is recommended, because
- students will be taking home their work EVERY night.
